Sonoma Wire Works has reduced the list price of RiffWorks Standard recording software from $169 to $129 (99€, 69£ exc. VAT), a reduction of more than 20%.

With RiffWorks, musicians can record ideas, create songs complete with drums and effects, jam online with musicians from around the world, and broadcast to a the online community.

Doug Wright, President of Sonoma Wire Works said, “Using RiffWorks to record songs and collaborate online with old friends and new has become a favorite pastime for many beginning and experienced guitar players. We hope this price drop will make RiffWorks accessible to even more guitar players as well as bassists, vocalists and other musicians who would like to join in and start jamming!”

 

Musikmesse: RiffWorks Standard by Sonoma Wire Works is now available from resellers worldwide. RiffWorks users, even demo users, can participate in Sonoma Wire Works’ RiffRumble VII song contest. There is no purchase necessary and no contest entry fee. Three guitar players can win over $700 in prizes from IK Multimedia, Sonic Reality, Disc Makers, CD Baby, and Recording Magazine.

RiffWorks users have from April 4 – 17 to submit an original song to RiffRumble VII. The public and judges will vote for their favorite songs April 18 – 24. Winners will be chosen in three categories: Popularity, Contestants’ Choice, and Sonic Reality’s Choice. Three prize packs will be given away. Each pack includes IK Multimedia’s AmpliTube 2 (or RiffWorks Standard with AmpliTube 2 Live), 5 InstantDrummer sessions from Sonic Reality, a $200 coupon and 100 blank CD-Rs from Disc Makers, a one-year subscription to Recording Magazine, and a free CD Baby membership.

The demo offers most of the same features as the complete version – intuitive recording interface, looped recording and automatic track creation, 7 studio-quality effects, InstantDrummer, REX Player, ReWire Mixer, Metronome, and more.

Saving is enabled, so users can save the songs they create with the demo and open them in RiffWorks Standard when they purchase it.

This will give RiffWorks recording software users access to new drum loops and grooves in the widest range of styles such as R&B, Funk, Electronic, Hip-Hop, Rock, Jazz, Country, and others.

Recorded in some of the world’s top studios, R.A.W. sessions offer high quality 24-bit loops for a great sounding collection of drum loops and grooves.

A free demo of RiffWorks guitar recording software is now available. To kick off this launch, Sonoma Wire Works, along with Line 6, Disc Makers, CDBaby, Recording Magazine, and Submersible Music, have announced the fifth RiffRumble song contest.

The free RiffWorks Demo has RiffWorks Standard’s intuitive recording interface, looped recording, automatic track creation, 7 studio-quality effects, InstantDrummer, REX Player, ReWire Mixer, Metronome, and more. Saving is enabled, so users can save the songs they create with the demo and will be able to open them in RiffWorks Standard. The demo does not time out. Users should make sure they meet the system requirements and have a compatible input device before downloading it.

RiffRumble V

RiffWorks users have from November 17th until November 30th to submit an original song to RiffRumble V. December 1st through 7th the public and judges will vote for their favorite songs. Winners will be chosen in three categories: Popularity, Contestants’ Choice, and Submersible Music’s Choice. Three prize packs will be given away. Each pack includes a Line 6 Model Pack, a one-year subscription to Recording Magazine, a free CD Baby membership, a $200 coupon and 100 blank CD-Rs from Disc Makers, and 5 InstantDrummer sessions from Submersible Music. Any RiffWorks owner can play. There is no fee to enter.

Pricing

RiffWorks Standard’s price will increase to $169.99 on January 30, 2007. Until then, the price will remain $129.99.
