SampleScience has introduced Toy Keyboard – a free VSTi/AUi plugin instrument and sample library featuring the sound of the Yamaha PSR-78 home keyboard. SampleScience has introduced Nostromos, a new ‘cinematic’ virtual instrument, featuring 1.1 gig of sampled sounds. The plugin has 80 playable instruments. Each sound can be modified using a series of simple parameters. The sounds range from ambient pads to organic “mutant” textures, ethereal tones to mystic bells.
SampleScience has released Orion Sound Module, a free 3GB rompler that features 97 virtual instruments, for Mac & Windows. According to the company, Orion “is perfect to sketch out ideas before using bigger libraries that can tax the RAM and CPU very quickly.” Here’s what they have to say about it:
