At the 2009 Winter NAMM Show, SKB Corporation introduced three heavy-duty keyboard cases, with TSA locks.

The new models are the:

• 1R6223W for 88-note keyboards;
• 1R6218W for 88-note narrow keyboards, digital pianos and controllers; and
• 1R4417W for 61-note keyboards.

The cases are rotationally molded from Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE). They also feature SKB’s  glass reinforced nylon trigger latches with TSA locks, letting you lock the cases and still have them inspected by airline security personnel. Listening to dealer and consumer market demands, SKB released the SKB-106DJ Workstation. The Workstation is a customized SKB case designed to meet the needs of djs and mobile electronic musicians.

The SKB-106DJ Station fulfills the requests of working DJ’s, with 10 rackable spaces on top and 6 rackable spaces underneath. The DJ Station has roto-molded side handles and a durable padded cover with a snap closure for protection. Made from SKB’s standard ultra-high density polyethylene, it is rugged enough for the demanding professional DJ, but is compact and mobile enough to easily transport around town.

SKB Cases manufactures shipping cases for musical instruments, including keyboard cases, racks, and cases designed especially for dj equipment.

The first SKB case was made out of a Anaheim, California garage in 1977. Since then, SKB has grown to make cases for hundreds of companies in many industries.

An independent testing laboratory recently tested SKB cases against other cases, and found them to be stronger and more durable. Part of the reason is that SKB cases measure about 1″ thick, where many cases are only .9″ thick. Because of the extra attentiion to durability, SKB offers a lifetime warranty on its cases.
