Today Sonic Faction debuted their new Mutant Synth Pack, a collection of classic synthesizers for Ableton Live. The pack features meticulously sampled iconic synths, reactivated from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
The bundle includes new 3 instruments:
The Clone, based on the classic Roland SH-101
Puls8or, sampled from the notorious Waldorf Pulse+
and Rouge-One, modeled after the legendary Sequential Circuits PRO-ONE.
Sonic Faction today announced Pathogen, a free wavetable instrument for Ableton Live.
Based on the classic oscillator of the The Sickness (which itself was originally sampled from the Virus TI), Pathogen has, according to Sonic Faction, “the DNA of a truly infectious synth.”
The instrument has three multi-sampled oscillators: Sawtooth, Pulse and Spectral Wave. The wavetable features 64 timbres ranging from “haunting” glass, bells, and mallets, to synthetic textures, “blurps” and bleeps.
Sonic Faction has introduced The Beatdown & The Beatdown Step Sequencer for the Akai APC40 and Ableton Live.
This custom device comes with the Beatdown library and lets you program beats and note velocities, while saving and recalling patterns in realtime. It also features realtime looping, FX and groove manipulation for killer live performances.
Steve at Sonic Faction sent word about The Beatdown, a new drum machine for Ableton Live:
We crafted The Beatdown from the ground up, giving users superior sound quality and unprecedented control. We started by sampling the Elektron Machine Drum and rebuilding it inside of Ableton, staying true to the instrument’s unique design. Inspired by the flexibility of our new instrument, we then added 6 additional drum kits that cover all of the most popular dance music genres. It’s styles range from Analog Hip Hop madness, to fresh House beats, to viscous Dubstep wobbles and Experimental glitches. The result is a slamming drum machine that will have you dropping next level beats instantly.
