Sonic Faction has published the first in a new “micro tutorial” series, which will feature a short video of each instrument in the company’s new Archetype Ableton Bundle.
The first installment in the series is a three-minute tutorial for Clone, their 80’s synth hybrid.
Sonic Faction’s Taylor Martyr says, “Max for Live allows us to create custom-designed interfaces and intuitive controls that haven’t been possible in Ableton until now. Among its other features, Clone has a unique section called the ‘Delta Triangulator’ which allows users to rhythmically modulate their sound with ease. It’s great for when you want to achieve driving, 80’s-sounding bass lines”
Pricing and Availability. Sonic Faction’s Clone is available now, via the Sonic Faction website, for $49. The full Archetype Ableton Bundle page (includes Clone and 7 other Max for Live instruments) is available from Sonic Faction for $199.
Today Sonic Faction has come out with a massive new offering for Live users – the Archetype Ableton Bundle, a collection of 8 custom-designed instruments for Ableton Live 9 Suite.
The Archetype Bundle’s eight instruments (Beatdown, Sickness, Evilfish, Hatchet, Clone, Pulsator, Whoosh Machine and Rogue-One) run the gamut of vintage and modern instruments, which are manipulated and controlled with Archetype’s creative controls and interfaces.
Archetype also includes 2 Max for Live step sequencers, Synth and Drum, to use with Push, APC40 and Launchpad, to take hands-on control of your sound. Continue reading →
Today Sonic Faction debuted their new Mutant Synth Pack, a collection of classic synthesizers for Ableton Live. The pack features meticulously sampled iconic synths, reactivated from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
The bundle includes new 3 instruments:
The Clone, based on the classic Roland SH-101
Puls8or, sampled from the notorious Waldorf Pulse+
and Rouge-One, modeled after the legendary Sequential Circuits PRO-ONE.
Sonic Faction today announced Pathogen, a free wavetable instrument for Ableton Live.
Based on the classic oscillator of the The Sickness (which itself was originally sampled from the Virus TI), Pathogen has, according to Sonic Faction, “the DNA of a truly infectious synth.”
The instrument has three multi-sampled oscillators: Sawtooth, Pulse and Spectral Wave. The wavetable features 64 timbres ranging from “haunting” glass, bells, and mallets, to synthetic textures, “blurps” and bleeps.
