SoundLabel has released Piano Attack, a sample library of prepared piano. The unique prepared piano sample library is now available as a Reason ReFill. the library is available as a 570 MB download version or a CD-rom boxed version.

Piano Attack features sounds from a wide range of prepared and ‘abused’ pianos. Rather than wrecking your own piano in an attempt to get these unusual sounds, SoundLabel ‘liberated’ pianos from their black and white keys and recorded every possible sound in their studios. They even destroyed one piano completely to create a unique sound library for composers, musicians and sound designers.

The collection includes phrases, hits, atmospheres, rushers, zings, beats, loops, demolition sounds and more.

Composer and electronica artist BT used a pre-release version recent soundtrack work. According to BT, Piano Attack “is f**king dope, that I am totally using for “Stealth”, the Rob Cohen movie.” Read more…
