Armin van Buuren, Fanboy

Jean Michel Jarre posted this photo of himself and Armin van Buuren, after his Amsterdam concert:
After the show, I met Armin van Buuren. He told me he was a great fan of mine and that my music inspired him to become a musician!
I felt really honored coming from one of the 2 or 3 best DJs in the world.
We discussed about how my music has influenced trance music, which is so huge all over the world, except in France where we are more electro. I definitely feel part of that trance family. Armin is also a great human being and we promised to each other to keep the contact and to collaborate on one project, one of these days.
It’s a great photo – because superstar DJ Armin van Buren has the same look on his face as every other musician meeting one of his heroes.
That look that says “This is so awesome that my brain can’t entirely process it!” Read more…
Paul van Dyk gives Trance Energy’s flummoxed interviewer an earful, calling most of today’s vocal trance “really cheesy shit music”.
“To be really honest a lot of the stuff, when we started in the early 1990s and then suddenly it was called trance there was a deeper feel to it,” said van Dyk, “and a lot of the music that is being called trance these days is actually really cheesy shit music.”

Daft Punk Unmasked
Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter surprised the crowd at Los Angeles’s Cinespace yesterday by jumping on the decks, unmasked – and “everybody jizzed in their pants“.
In my book, though, Daft Punk unmasked is right up there Kiss unmasked and Darth Vader unmasked.
Put the mask back on, already!
Do we really want to know that the robot dude looks like Serge Gainsbourg or somebody?
