If you remember, Spanish booking agency Class Concept International published an open letter to the industry, claiming that DJ Mari Ferrari, aka “the best topless DJ of Russia”, is a fake, a phony and a scam.

Sorry to have to tell you this, but the comments on the story have devolved topless dj catfight. 

Now Dj Diva - the topless skydiving DJ - has weighed in.

Last time we checked in with topless DJ Portia Surreal, the self-billed “Erotic Fetish DJ Extraordinaire” was an “up and coming” topless DJ, described at her site as a “glowing disco ball vixen”.

Here’s a little background on this glowing disco ball vixen:

Portia Surreal’s sexy showcase of artistic musical expression has teased and allured the world with controversy. Often being the first female DJ to perform in global venues, it has been her delicious pleasure to reinvent the ordinary conception of the traditional electronic DJ.

Due to the sexual nature of Portia Surreal’s shows, certain countries have required government approval prior to specific performances.

The shine may have worn off Surreal’s disco balls, though, because her website has been wiped off the face of the Internet.

According to Class Concept:

“This supposed female DJ from Russia during her performance at the event was playing from a tiny CD wallet (the same as the one we use in the car normally) an already pre-mixed music set from one or two CDs, and she was faking the movements of a real DJ, when she wasn´t really doing it for real, just acting.”

“All the people involved in the event who were in the DJ box at the time, including DJs, promoters and camera men from Fashion TV, realised that she wasn´t mixing the music and was just making fake movements and touching the mixer to pretend to the crowd that she was really doing it, but in fact she wasn´t and it was purely a fraud.”

“She was just more occupied with dancing and shaking her head in the DJ box and was just too busy with her dancing movements to get involved in any kind of beat-matching or mixing.”

Based on this, Class Concept says that Mari Ferrari and promoters Girldjs.ru are giving DJs “a bad reputation and worst of all, they are making and taking the money from the other serious female/male DJs that are working hard constantly to get it.”

All I have to say is that you can’t call your company “Class Concept” and then complain because the topless DJ that you hired sucked!

When we checked around the Web for a Colleen Shannon DJ mix, we came up empty handed.

We don’t know why, but Synthtopia is the top site in the world for the search phrase topless DJ.

We’re not sure if it was the story on “Erotic Fetish DJ Extraordinaire” Portia Surreal, the story on pornstar-turned-topless-dj DJ Niki Belucci, or the one about DJ Diva, the topless skydiving DJ, but somehow has Google pegged us as the authorities on topless DJs.

Now, it’s cool to be the top site in Google for anything, but being the #1 site for “topless DJ”…..that is an awesome responsibility to bear.

With that in mind, we felt like we should pass on some info that a Synthtopia reader sent us about DJ Titty T. Titty T is doing her best to put Italy on the topless DJ map.

Here’s what we could find out about Titty T:

This didn’t make much sense to us, so we ran it through Babelfish, and this is what came out:

Some might not want to take a DJ with a name like Titty T seriously – but you have to respect anyone that can keep a crowd dancing while wearing a chainmail bikini:

When DJ Diva came to our attention, it was clear that Surreal wasn’t spinning topless alone. Diva may have topped Surreal, though, by jumping topless out of a plane as her entrance to a DJ gig.

DJ Niki Belucci, right, is the latest topless DJ on the scene. Belucci is a 23-year old DJ from Budapest, Hungary. She’s got an ugly MySpace page, but somehow, it’s more striking than Tiesto’s.

Belucci specializes in house music. Topless djing may not be mainstream yet, but based on this video of Niki Belucci in action, it may not be far off.

DJ Diva joins DJ Portial Surreal on the short list of topless DJs. She’s probably the only topless skydiving DJ, though!

She started her career in 2002, taking a training course at the Dutch DJ school in amsterdam. At her first gig, it was very hot and several women were topless, so she took her top off, too. After that, people asked her to do gigs at parties and events, some with “an erotic touch”.

Recently, DJ Diva was asked to open an outdoor event by jumping topless out of a plane on the beach of Scheveningen/Den Haag!

Her slogan is “Music is for the ears, but the eyes need something as well!”

Of turntables. And something tells us that if they are full of plastic, the clubbers will be up all night.

DJ Portia Surreal, is “up and coming”, according to her site, as a New York DJ and “glowing disco ball vixen”. She’s appeared with some of the DJ world’s headline acts, including Sandra Collins and Tiesto. She mixes it up with an emphasis on dark house and break beat cuts.

She’s a bit of an curiousity in the DJ world. Surreal developed her theatrical approach in the underground fetish and goth scenes. Her stripped-down approach to electronica has taken her around the world. We’re waiting for her to get to Kansas.
