Crysonic has announced that its line of pro audio products should have full support for just about every computer music platform, except for maybe Commodore and Atari, within the next two weeks.

All current Crysonic technologies and products, including future releases, will soon be available in multiple plug-in formats, including Universal Binary (Intel/PPC) Mac OS X AU, VST, Native Windows XP/ Vista PC VST and stand-alone versions on applicable Products. Updates of the current Crysonic product line are expected to become available later this month.

“Along with the move to support more plug-in formats we have some very exciting new technologies and products in the pipeline including updates to our current products with many new features such as Nintendo Wii controller support for direct real-time control of any button or dial for live use and automation recording”, comments Jay C. Topcu, CTO at Crysonic, ” This transition is much more then offering Universal Binaries, we are growing rapidly as a company and forward in sonic quality”.

All current customers of Crysonic will receive free or a very reasonably priced path to these new available options depending on the license they own.

 

Sonik Synth 2.1

A download for the new Sonik Synth 2.1 is now available, providing compatibility for IK Users with Mac Intel Systems. Sonik Synth 2 users may download this software update for free from the IK User Area. In addition to Mac Intel compatibility, Sonik Synth 2.1 can now be opened as a standalone application.

db audioware Updates Modular Effects System

db audioware has released version 2.5 of its flagship software modular effects system, Quantum FX Workbench. The upgraded package includes Universal Binaries and major enhancements.

“We wanted to make Quantum FX fully accessible to the Mac community,” said Dave Brown, Managing Director of db audioware. “We also know that Workbench users are developing plug-ins for increasingly demanding applications, so we added the analysis tools and enhanced graphic support with them in mind.” Read more…

 

Camel Audio have released updates to their multi-effects plugins, CamelPhat, a phattening processor featuring distortion, compression filtering and bass enhancement and CamelSpace, a rhythmic multi-effects plugin.

These new versions implement full VST 2.4 compatibility and support for Cubase 4. A ‘Universal Binary’ build (VST and Audio Units versions) is provided for Mac OS X. Minor bug fixes and other improvements have been made in all versions.

The community section on the Camel Audio website has also been updated with new interviews with famous users. Grammy winning film composer Danny Elfman whose credits include ‘Beetlejuice’, ‘Batman’ and ‘Edward Scissorhands’, had this to say:

Registered users can download the latest update for free by visiting the support page of the Camel Audio website. New users can visit the Camel Audio web site where they’ll also find an updated demo version, example MP3s, and lots more. CamelPhat and Camel Space are available to buy online for just 85 USD/76 EUR/53 GBP each.

 

Tassman

With the release of Tassman 4.1, Applied Acoustics Systems has finished their transition to support Intel-based Mac systems is now over. All of their Professional and Session Series instruments are now available on Mac OS X as Universal Binaries.

The Tassman 4.1 Update includes Intel-based Mac system support, RTAS plug-in on both Mac OS X and Windows, and several bug fixes.

Pricing and Availability

Windows and PowerPC-based (G4 and G5 processors) Mac OS X Tassman users can update free of charge. Intel-based Mac OS X Tassman users can get the Universal Binary version of Tassman direct from the AAS Store for $29.
