V-Control Pro’s New V-Window Feature

The latest version of V-Control Pro for the iPad includes a new feature called V-Window, that lets you control any open window on a Mac or PC from the iPad.

Here’s what’s new in V-Control Pro 1.5:

  • V-Window – Provides window control for plug-ins, surround panners, and any other windows.
  • MultiPanel – New multi-purpose view for a better organized GUI.
  • Additional DAW Support – Live, Reason, Reaper, Studio One, FL Studio, Tracktion.
  • Logic Improvements – Instrument parameter editing, counter jog/scrub control.
  • Pro Tools Improvements – Full-screen surround panner control. Sticky modifier buttons.

V-Control Pro provides a fully-featured, multi-touch control surface for Pro Tools, Logic 9, and Cubase/Nuendo. V-Control Pro uses WiFi to control transport, editing, and mixing functions. V-Control Pro provides control of sends, automation, groups, auditioning, plug-ins, jog/scrub/shuttle, I/O assignment, and other controls . V-Control can be used simultaneous with ethernet controllers used by Pro Tools.

V-Control Pro is $49.99 in the App Store.

Kontrol Surface 1974 (NAMM Sneak Preview)

Smithson Martin will be introducing Kontrol Surface 1974 at the 2012 NAMM Show.

The Kontrol Surface 1974 is a new Emulator Modular multi-touch controller. It was originally designed as a DJ controller, but you can now build your own custom multi-touch layouts to use with any MIDI software.

Orange OPC Guitar Amp + Computer First Look

Remember the Orange OPC Guitar Amplifier + Recording Studio Workstation – the bizarro computer + guitar amp combination that was introduced at this year’s NAMM Show?

Music Radar got their hands on one of the Orange OPC computers and put together this first look at it.

According to Orange, the OPC computer will be leading the way with a number of ‘Firsts’:

  • The first PC to feature an integrated audio interface enabling the user to plug in a guitar or microphone using a standard 1/4? jack plug
  • The first computer of its kind to have built-in high powered speakers which deliver full range studio quality sound as well as producing vintage guitar sounds.
