The VP-550 uses vocal-modeling technology to let you create classical choirs, gospel choirs, pop and jazz voices, male & female ensembles, vintage vocoders, and string/vocal hybrids.
This video offers a sneak preview of SONiVOX Vocalizer – a new vocal synthesis audio effect.
Here’s what SONiVOX has to say about Vocalizer:
Part effects plug-in, part synthesizer, VOCALIZER is entirely new. Speak, sing, whisper, yell, or even run your drum tracks or anything else through it, VOCALIZER will take your source input apart and pitch, harmonize, de-harmonize, modify, fortify, enhance, re-fry, re-synthesize, and reassemble to your imagination’s outermost limit.
The brain child of SONiVOX’s Nemesynth Audio Reasearch Group, VOCALIZER takes the science of sound and puts it on Steroids. VOCALIZER takes anything you input into it and almost magically teleports it into a dimension previously only theorized about. This is the sound of tomorrow’s hits and must be heard to be believed.
Vocalizer retails for $149.99.

The library contains true (polyphonic) legato intervals from piano to forte, sustains from piano to forte, staccato with repetitions, ultra forte marcato, BPM (host-synced) based latin chants recorded at different speeds across entire interval of choir, tons of choral effects including whispers, shouts, clusters, demonic chants, sweeps, consonants without tone, claps, snaps and over +50 different types of effects.

PowerFX has released Sweet Ann, the first of their new line of vocal libraries employing Yamaha’s Vocaloid2 software. Vocaloid software applications let users type in words and melody and have the virtual vocalist “sing” back the input.
If it all sounds a bit creepy and cool, check out the demos at the PowerFX site or visit Sweet Ann’s Myspace page.
“We are extremely excited about the release of Sweet Ann and developing vocal libraries for Vocaloid,” said PowerFX CEO Bil Bryant. “Vocal synthesis and voice modelling is an evolving technology that is still in its infancy, but the developments and functions of Vocaloid2 make it such an incredibly useful tool for any digital music maker that we had to get involved.” Continue reading
Screaming Bee has released an enhanced version of MorphVOX Pro Voice Changer. This software tool provides voice morphing to online games, instant messaging, and the professional studio. The software’s new “Adaptive Clarity” feature introduces extended pitch-modification capabilities and superior audio quality.
“We are quite happy with the enhancements to MorphVOX Pro,” says Mark Ramirez, CEO of Screaming Bee. He adds, “With Adaptive Clarity, your online game characters and your multimedia voice-overs will sound amazingly clear.”
The new algorithm can shift a voice’s pitch more than two octaves with excellent quality, while using minimal computer resources. (demo below)
MorphVOX Pro can be used with games like World of Warcraft, Second Life, EVE Online, EverQuest 2, Guild Wars, Counter-Strike and many more. It also works well with chat programs such as Xfire, TeamSpeak, Skype, Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, AOL Messenger, and Ventrilo.
MorphVOX Pro can also morph an existing audio file or record a voice directly to file. The program’s simple and intuitive interface makes it easy for users to create voice-overs or narrations.
