Wave Alchemy recently announced the release of a free, ‘slimmed down’ version of their forthcoming Digital Revolution instrument for Native Instruments’ Kontakt.
Powered by ‘Revolution Engine’ technology, the newly-relased Digital Revolution SE demo and forthcoming Digital Revolution virtual instrument spotlight vintage digital drum sounds from the 1980’s:
“We have faithfully captured the unique sound of 9 iconic digital drum machines (and 3 analogue ones!) spanning from 1980 to 1989, including all sample variations of the original drum machines, tune, decay and various other settings. Each drum sound has also been re-sampled multiple times through an iconic ‘grey’ 12-bit sampler to allow for real-time re-sample/grit modes which can easily be selected from the instrument interface!”
Wave Alchemy has announced the release of Transistor Revolution MKII, their re-creation, for Native Instruments’ Kontakt 5 Player, of the iconic TR-808 and TR-909 drum machines.
TR MKII has been “fully redesigned and re-scripted from the ground up.” Designers have tweaked the workflow and added a new, more intuitive graphical interface, a ‘TR style’ 16-track step sequencer, unified instruments for both the 808 and 909, a dedicated 10-track mixer with individual processing, reverb / delay sends, volume control and pan for each drum sound, a master tape section with individual tape saturation per sound, and so on.
Pricing and Availability. Wave Alchemy’s Transistor Revolution MKII is available from Wave Alchemy for £89.95 – $137US. Existing owners of the previous version, Transistor Revolution MKI, can upgrade to TR MKII for £10 ($16US). Wave Alchemy has announced the release of its new Synth Drums drum library. Synth Drums combines “expertly programmed” vintage synthesizers with high-end processing to create a flexible electronic drum sample library for modern music production.

Wave Alchemy has announced Transistor Revolution – a new Kontakt re-creation of the iconic TR-808 and TR-909 drum machines.
Transistor Revolution uses a custom user interface combined with Native Instruments’ Kontakt 5’s advanced sampling engine and over 22,000 drum samples. Transistor Revolution also mirrors the design of the original (hardware) TR-808 and TR-909 front panels.
Wave Alchemy recently introduced the Pro-II synthesizer – a new virtual synth, inspired by the Sequential Circuits Pro-One.
Loopmasters has released a free sample pack by Wave Alchemy.
The free pack consists of 74 analogue drum samples which have been crafted using our semi-modular synth setup and treated through a selection of signal processors.
