Free Garageband Tutorial Released

Peachpit Press has released a free tutorial on Apple GarageBand, an excerpt from GarageBand for Mac OS X.
This chapter on recording software instruments, excerpted from Victor Gavenda’s Visual QuickStart Guide, covers the following:
- An overview of recording in GarageBand
- Using GarageBand’s onscreen keyboard and a suggestion for an alternative
- Using the metronome to help you keep a steady beat while recording
- Recording a new region into a Software Instrument track
- Using a cycle region to re-record a portion of a track
