NAMM 2006 Show NewsAutomatic Modular Self-Tuning Guitar SystemWednesday, January 18, 20062006 Winter NAMM EXPO: Tronical GmbH unveiled the first "invisible" automatic self tuning system for electric guitars. Tronical calls the new technology "a groundbreaking innovation in the construction of traditional instruments." With the new PowerTune system, every guitarist can now forget about the danger of a detuned instrument in situations where there’s only one chance: Live Recordings, TV Gigs, etc. The guitar that tunes itself automatically now is a reality. Perfectly tuned in seconds (less than 2 seconds in fact!) at the touch of a button All this happens with an accuracy that is beyond manual tuning (typically 0.2 cent). Tronical’s ITM (Individual Tune Memory) even takes the musician’s personal preferences into account. Individually saved presets such as open tuning, or special grunge- and slide- settings can be recalled in seconds. Tronical’s PowerTune TM is a modular system that can be retro-fitted to virtually any available guitar make or model, without the need for destructive rebuilding or re-working. The guitar can also be returned to its original state at any time, if needed. Tronical´s PowerTune System consists of three modular main components.
The guitar’s condition remains untouched. No drilling, cutting or other “constructional” changes needed. No changes to the sound, weight, performance or appearance of the guitar. Tronical’s PowerTune System is available in stores worldwide from June 2006. Pricing is to be announced.
