Steinberg has announced Cubase SE1 VAP (Value Added Package), a special $149 entry level bundle for computer recording. A complete cross-platform music production studio in a box, this new bundle includes Cubase SE for recording, processing and mixing your music and the Steinberg Virtual Instruments Collection based on Steinberg’s popular professional VST instrument line. Included are HALion SE, The Grand SE, Groove Agent SE, Virtual Guitarist Electric Edition SE, and D'cota SE, providing a diverse palette of sounds for a wide variety of musical styles. “People, especially entry level users and educators, are looking for complete packaged solutions,” stated Athan Billias, Marketing Director for Technology Products at Yamaha. “Adding the Virtual Instrument Collection to Cubase SE was a natural as it provides a complete music production environment including recording, mixing and software synthesizers.” Based on the same technology as the professional versions of Steinberg software, the Cubase SE1 VAP includes everything needed to start creating and producing music on a computer right away. It can also be upgraded with full versions of Steinberg software and expanded with a variety of hardware mixers, controllers, and speakers from Yamaha and CME to fit the needs and budget of most anyone creating and producing music on their computer.
