NAMM 2006 Show NewsintelliScore Polyphonic 6.1 Music Recognition Software ReleasedTuesday, June 29, 2004
IntelliScore also allows musicians to play an acoustic instrument attached to their computer and see the notation of their performance appear instantly in a MIDI editing or notation program, such as the included Anvil Studio. As a real-time MIDI synthesizer controller, musicians can sing into a microphone and hear a different instrument sound come out, playing the same notes as are being sung. IntelliScore detects and recreates many of the expressive nuances contained in the original performance, such as pitch bend, vibrato, tremolo, and portamento. Now in its 6th generation, the company's patented technology is constantly improving. "Practical polyphonic music recognition was once believed by many to be impossible, but this is now becoming a reality as a result of our continual research," said Joe Kohler, president of Innovative Music Systems. "Our growing dealer network and thousands of satisfied customers confirm this." Innovative Music Systems, a privately-held music software publishing company located in Coral Springs, Florida, USA, is a leader in music recognition technology. Additional information about intelliScore is available at the Innovative Music Systems site.
