What modules, concepts, or fun new toys are you working on, Eric? What can we expect within the next year from Metasonix?
Have you ever thought of making a tube-based drum machine? How annoying would that be to create?
What is the most difficult/challenging effect/module that could be made with vacuum tubes, in your opinion?
Who has the craziest collection of your pieces that you know of?
Will you ever "re-issue" some of products that you no longer make? Or do you plan on just making a few of everything you make, forever? Do you think that there will ever be a collection of pieces that are always available- "staples", if you will? I understand you'd need the infrastructure- production staff- to keep up with the demand if you were to do that, but do you want to continue being basically a "one-man-show"?

Perhaps combinations of filters in one module?
You already have a different way of doing traditional filters, but are there any NEW different ways you'll be trying?
Maybe a full synth/midi-controller (with keys, knobs, etc.)?
Give us a hint?

plan to have a new TX module demoed at NAMM along with a stereo tube preamp for hifi use. The new TX will sound even worse than the TX-1. It will also be a horrible filter.

But it's too early to say more. Show up at NAMM, booth 6735 and see for yourselves....

(as for rackmount devices: find me a fabricator who can make a rack enclosure for something resembling a reasonable price, and I'll put products in them.)

If I do find a fabricator that will make enclosures at a semi-reasonable price, can I get a free filter out of the deal? I'm kidding... unless you want to take me seriously... and then I'd gladly accept such a wonderful product that I helped get to market;)

How thick does the metal have to be? and what are the other approximate measurements? Are you just looking for "boxes" that YOU add mounting brackets to and then the innards of the filter or synth, or are you looking for all the little chassis details to be included in this particular fabrication?

I'll PM you, if possible on this board- I haven't really looked around too much here.

Eric was showing his latest politically collect wonder at NAMM. It uses three cheap-ass television tubes in inappropriate ways. God knows where they have been!

Eric was also lamenting that guitarists are paying him a ton of money to make their guitars sound really nasty....

Sob stories aside, people are going to love Eric's three-way threat, even if it hurts a little.

Unfortunately, Frontier lost our luggage, along with all the details on his new satanic love-child. We'll be publishing info on it as soon as our luggage arrives.

We can tell you this - prepare to be reamed...

The Buttprobe should be out in April, list price $499, totally different than the TX-1, I can't tell or show you more because I'm out of town.

Nick from Sonicstate.com took a recording of the Buttprobe prototype trashing a Jomox drum machine at NAMM, if you want to hear it you might try asking him (nicely) to post the sound file.

(Now i have to get the prototype back from Roger, he borrowed it to show it to several rock stars, allegedly....can't finish the PC board without checking the circuit....)

I did listen to samples on the page of Rene Schmitz.
And a lowpass sallen-key vcf would be awesome.
Maybe a highpass to?
