The Model 266 series of programs features interviews with pioneering and contemporary musicians working with legendary Buchla synthesizers, as part of Source of Uncertainty. This segment features Buchla tech Mark Verbos.
Mark Verbos (NYC) is a music producer, mixer, and analog synthesizer technician. Heavily involved in electronic dance music, Mark's releases have spanned the genres of techno, rock, acid, house, pop, and electro. Mark has been involved with Buchla synthesizers since a young age, repairing modules under the technician and designer, Grant Richter. Since then he has become the go-to expert for Buchla repair and modifications. Although Mark performs on multiple Buchla machines, this performance will feature solely the 200 and 200e.
These programs are produced in relation to Source of Uncertainty, a pair of concerts organized by Harvestworks, ((audience)) and River-to-River Festival, taking place on June 28th, 2012 and July 7, 2012. http://www.indiegogo.com/sourceofuncertainty
