Lyle Mays - San Lorenzo opening chords

Postby straypacket » Fri Oct 26, 2012 10:41 am

Hi all,

I have been wondering for years, how to recreate the sound used in the opening chords of Path Metheny's "San Lorenzo". I am assuming it's Lyle's SEMs that are making that sound (?)

Can anyone point me in the direction of an answer?

Thanks!

Lyle is using an Autoharp for those chords. It is also featured on Phase Dance.

There's a lot of styles of music where sounding like other, well known artists seems to be the norm, but thankfully so far, glitch music has managed to retain a good deal of originality and by it's very nature, opposes plagiarism. It would be sad to see it degenerate into just another diluted genre where anyone with the right plug in can call themselves a glitch artist.
