"Switched On" Nutcracker tracks

Postby thorn » Thu Dec 20, 2012 11:17 pm

Hello all. I have three new tracks available this year from my "switched on" Nutcracker Suite project. I hope you enjoy them. They're free to download, should you so choose.

In case this sort of information interests you, all sounds for these tracks were created on either Moog Rogue or Sequential Circuits Pro-One analog monophonic synthesizers and performed into Logic Express 8. There are a couple of spots where I did take advantage of the Pro-One's on-board sequencer, but everything else was played in by hand. No MIDI was involved. (Well, technically the click I played to was generated via MIDI, but that's obviously not audible in the final project.) All sounds got a bit of reverb in Logic, and some of the noodly harp type parts also got a bit of delay or echo.

Thanks for reading/listening, and happy holidays.

Waltz of the Flowers: (2012)

Dance of the Reed Flutes: (2012)

Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy: (2012)

...and just for the sake of being complete, the other movements that I finished last year and the year before are as follows:

Chinese Dance: (2011)

March of the (Inebriated) Toy Soldiers: (2011)

Arabian Dance: (2010)
