Getting into modular synths!

Postby lolswang » Wed Mar 27, 2013 11:30 am

Hey Synthtopia!
I'm a 14 year old electronic music producer and I am looking into buying my first modular synth! I have some background in sound design with vst plugins such as Massive and Fm8. I have been saving my money to invest in music so I decided modulars were the way to go. I am currently looking at the Synthesizers.com "Entry Plan" http://synthesizers.com/system-entry1.html. This plan includes:
Q137 Power Control Module
1) Q104 MIDI Interface Module
1) Q124 Multiple Module
2) Q106 Oscillator Modules
2) Q109 Envelope Generator Modules
1) Q108 Amplifier Module
1) Q107 State-Variable Filter Module
1) Q112 4-Channel Mixer Module

What other modules should I look at? Or should I look at a different system? Should I be buying from a different website? Im new to this so people who have experience can you please help me? Thanks!

With almost a consensus, SynchDub has been given the status of ‘Heart and Soul’ of Electrohttp://coolasbackside.com
