Daft Punk - End Of Line (tEEDO Remix)

Postby tEEDO » Fri Apr 29, 2011 11:58 pm

This was going to be my entry for a remix comp....But I found out the deadline was over before I even started it haha. Made this one abit more mellow to suit the original.....Back to filthyness now.

Thought that you were going downtempo until the sick bass kicks in about a minute in.

The vocal processing didn't do it for me, though. Seems like vocoded vocals would work better on DP.
When I'm not in the forum, I'm listening to Electronic music, especially techno music.

Haha, love it! Honestly, End of Line was the only song from the Tron soundtrack I really enjoyed... hell, Portal 2s soundtrack sounded more Daft Punk than Daft Punk. I know they were making a score and all, don't yell at me ¬.¬

I love how I can barely recognize the original song as well :P

I definitely agree with jlewin, besides Discovery DP is all about the vocoder and bitcrushed yeahs, the vocal style here doesn't seem to sit well in the mix. Kind of reminds me of Infected Mushroom.

Love that sick bass drop, what synth did you use for it?

I like this especially the way u did the drop.

That being said I agree that the vocals don't add to its greatness and I would make the punches resonate more. Also in a couple places the sound gets muddy so creating a solid "sound stage" would really help that.

Those are my only criticisms tho... I think the whole think works.
