  1. Pretty funny to see a real producer sitting in a big fuckin studio trying to convince us to use this toy instead, lolz. Also did anyone notice that there is not a single review of the thang available ? Maybe now that we get 2.000.000,- Dollars extra content with every plug i might consider it. Nah, just kidding.

  2. I think an actual big-name producer with real credits effectively trumps any review from some random guy. Especially when he saying basically, "I like this. I can work with this. Look how I use this." How many people lusted after and/or bought an MPC, ASR, or workstation keyboard after watching a big name producer use it in a web video…a bunch. Also the majority of hip-hop records made in pro studios only use it for the vocals. There's no difference in using a drum machine off a laptop and the stereo/8 outputs out of a MPC. People have been making commercial records only using Fruity Loops or Reason for years, so why is the Beat Thang a "toy'? Have you ever used a MPC-60 or SP-1200? No preset sounds, no effects, limited sequencer, sample time, and storage capacity, but thousands of classic and/or hit records made on them. They would be considered "toys" also if they came out today. You kids are fucking spoiled. Go make some music.

  5. Yeah right, i am sure Rock says this because he is totally behind that thang and will sell all of his mpcs to play with that fresh new custom grilled thang. Get a grip. He is getting paid to say that. And how can you compare the thang to a mpc ? Mpcs have been used by a lot of people and even today i love mine, so we will see if the thang will be around in 20 years. Have you checked out the new beatthang.com ? Its feckin ridiculous to see that they finally realised that they will fail and now they add exactly $1931.94 value on top, because of the preset sounds. Right, so Maschine comes with 15.000 samples, thats probably $ 36.000 more value so to speak. Just fuckin stupid and yes people have not forgot how nice the kangz have been to their potential customers 😉

  6. Embarrasing to see how transparent the techniques from the marketing people over at BK is and how eager they are to fight every comment about their "thingy" not appropriate.

    DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE!

  7. Whats even worse is that they try to convince young people that they will become superstars with that crap toy. I bought it a few weeks ago just to see what the whole hype is all about and i have to say its even worse then one would think. Not only does it install pace on your machine, the whole handling is pretty stupid cause they just took the interface of what might become a real hardware drummachine at one point. You cant even use it as a plugin. Waste of money.

  8. This is crazy man… I'm sure the Beat Thang will have it's uses…. they just need to stop acting like its pro gear… it cannot compete with an MPC or MV, and def not Ableton Live in terms of features…. damn thing looks trashy too… and the ad campaign is just funny… Give us some REAL tutorials, REAL reviews from techs, REAL specs….. and stop acting like this isn't the new Zoom streetbox…. Yall are doing demos @ sam ash in NY on sunday for christ sake!

  12. Yes your right the kangs just out smarted all the greedy ass companies who used our talent to get rich how does it feel now. Record labels and big companies. They are talking garbage because its a bunch of blacks who out smarted the big boys. Why all the racism over an invention see its oboma bash time again they will never change but they love football and basketball wow!!! and are ready ask,
can i have your autograph nigga!lol!!!!

  13. the beat thang is dope! i use it in conjunction with an MPC and Ableton and some other synths. Cool interface and its got a bunch of hip hop oriented sounds. Reminds me of an mpc combined with the Mo'phatt. I love making loops and shit wherever I am and than tweaking them out and adding sounds from other sources. This is the closest thing I know of to a virtual MPC (battery), and sometimes you wanna make a beat when you aren't near your studio. It just has a cool feel and interface and workflow. Its also good for new producers. It won't replace an MPC, it's different…now i dunno about the hardware version though 🙂 not enough outputs. Also, no need for the racist shit. I know its rough out there and hateful people abound but, I'm white, make beats for legit street cats as well as electronic kinds of music and i'm happy to be buying shit not from a major company, black owned or not, its all good with me. Close minded people suck, and everyone else needs to learn to let go of what has been programmed into our minds since birth. Divide and conquer, its what these companies want most! 1

  15. the beat thang name is garbage. should just name it BTV. oh and i've been producing since the 80's sp 1200, mpc, mv, asrx pro (which the beat thang interface resembles). i thought it was some bs because of the marketing. however i was fooled. it's acts like i want a software drum machine to act. like the real thing. believe me their marketing person dropped the ball on this. better marketing and it would be killer. but hey since everyone is hating on it (including me at once). it gives me a secret little weapon that they dont have.
