  1. My max download speed for these is 1 kb/sec. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but it means a seriously long download time…

  2. hi folks, Jason from Multiples. I am going to upload the packs to a mirror tomorrow evening and put the links on the site. Hopefully then there won't be too much of an issue. Thanks for your patience, our server is getting killed at the minute.

  3. +1 for elbjorg. Really try a Torrent. Better yet; as soon as I managed to grab this critter I'll setup one myself.

I know all too well that in general torrents are associated with "illegal stuff" but honestly; when you want to put something online and many people want to check it out then it can be the ideal situation. When used right we'll all help share the software (yes people; when you downloaded a torrent please leave it turned on for a while!).

  4. Hi guys, thanks for the ideas, I'll have a look at them once I have something else sorted for the time being.

And yes, I do believe my server overloading is a good thing……

  5. Right.. If there's one thing I never do its not keeping a promise. As such I grabbed wav.zip, loops.zip and additionally the kontakt and reaktor zipfiles. Cleaned them up (OS X always manages to leave some control directories behind) and re-packed all archives to the RAR format. This helps you to save data tremendously; some archives got reduced by half! And obviously I added a comment which directs right back to the original Multiples website; credit where credit is due!

SO.. If you want to download this drumkit (and its really something to consider; my review follows) AND also help these guys out (who's server got leveled, that always creates some sympathy for me) please see these 2 URLs:

(I took the liberty of uploading the torrent to SeedPeer as well, even though I'm the only seed at the time of writing).

I really enjoy working with these samples so I plan to keep this torrent alive for at least 2 months. Its 290Mb in total; but still if I don't see much activity I'm obviously going to take it down by then since there's little point in keeping stuff around for nothing.

  11. Ok, I assume to be excused for 2 posts quickly after another; as its happened before 🙂

Right, it took a while to get this pack but as usual my assumptions served me right. Call it generalizing but the fact that Synthtopia managed to level the server of these guys was already enough for me to consider it worthy. Why? Honesty. "Here is the latest sample kit from us <here more commercial crap>". I've been in this hobby for 1 year now and I can say "Seen it, heard it, tried it BOORING". But putting up your work for people to enjoy and getting problems with the attention is something else indeed.

Now, I'm only using their "wav" and "loops" archives since although I have the Kontakt and Reaktor players (go Komplete Elements!) my main DAW is Ableton Live. I truly love this critter and I'm very happy that I took the time to get it.

What you get is a drum sample collection split into solo drum samples and loops. First pro; its all neatly sorted out. Split between "Alesis" and "Synthesized" as well as categorized into "Cymbals", "Hats", "Kicks", "Snares" and "Toms" (same goes a bit for the loops; what I really LOVE is the inclusion of "Full mix"; giving you a dose of what all samples in the current directory are capable of when combined).

But obviously what matters most is the sound. I LIKE IT. Its different, and very diverse. To try and give an overall description I'd say "Electrified and energetic". Don't expect the regular kind of hats and kicks you might expect. Heck; some of the kicks sound like a guitar riff. Some of the sounds are really out of the ordinary.

I like this kit. Its diverse, its way different and most of all its very cleanly setup. Meaning: it won't take you too much effort to slice up the loops or to use their regular drum samples and build up a drum rack of your own. I haven't been able to slice their loops yet, but I have played with the drum samples in some drumkits of my own and I really enjoy the way different sound.

Thumbs up for me, this is stuff beyond the regular stuff; it really allows you to DO things.

  12. Thankyou very much, it really is appreciated and nice to finally find a place were can share our stuff with people who are genuinely interested. I hope you don't mind me publicising the torrent file in order for it to be downloaded. I will of course download it anyway and seed from my end.

  13. Again, thanks for some wonderful words. If you don't mind I would like to add this review to our website and of course add you to our friends listing with a link directly to your website. Thanks again, Jason.

  14. Sorry for the late response: no problem at all. But: I'm not the one to ask since "officially" synthtopia owns whatever I say here (or so I think ;-)).

    But no problem: feel free!

And thank you too for sharing!

  15. Once again: sorry for the late response 😉

And no; please do! When I offer to help "spread the word" I fully stand behind that. Do keep in mind that in the beginning the download ratio's may not be extremely fast; but that is bound to change over time.

Right now it looks quite some people got interested; I already uploaded / shared approx. 650Mb (share ratio of approx. 2.1) so people do seem interested 🙂
