  1. “The thing that we still call music, the stuff being made in recording studios, doesn’t have much to do with traditional music.” This is completely wrong, but maybe he’ll explain himself better a little later in the lecture. Its something a half ass pop musician trained as an artist might say. An artist that turns to philosophy to explain his art is always doomed.

  2. I can’t stand listening to this because he makes too many gross quiet mouth sounds. It’s like listening to people eat food in a silent room.

  3. His thoughts on surrender vs. control were interesting. Neat perspective. You could tell he was uncomfortable the whole time, constantly apologizing. I blame the venue/sponsor/organization.
