  1. Phew, the makers of commercial synths probably hate to see this sort of thing appear. Someone who takes on Reaper and 4 synths of this general caliber doesn’t really NEED to buy much at all. Its a great design. I just hope people will take it further than merely using it for Schulze covers.

  2. Just a note from the developer’s website:

“Rights using of Xavier Kalensky’s musical creations
Xavier Kalensky’s musical creations (musics and demos) can be downloaded freely for private use only! Xavier Kalensky’s musical creations can not be copied or distributed in any way, can not be used in: music, film, radio or tv broadcast, web site, any kind of shows, etc… without the agreement of the author.
Any resemblance to another musical creation would be fortuitous and involuntary on behalf of the author, this one cannot know the whole musical production of the world. In case of intentional similarity, the artist having inspired the author will be mentioned.”

    1. And ?

Not sure what point you’re trying to get across here. Its not uncommon that software produces supply some musical demo’s and such yet without the rights to use them in a commercial or commercial-like (“non-private usage”) fashion.

However, this does not mean that the stuff /you/ create using this software would automatically be restricted to private use either, that’s simply not the case here.

  3. This is a great piece of work. And while you’re at it also check out some of the other VST’s he’s put online, some of those instruments rival commercial ones. I’ve been in this business for quite a few years now (semi-professional) and it kinda starts to bug me how some (usually newbies) approach these endeavors with a bit if disdain as if free means that it can never be as good as product XX by the awesome company YY. (you fill in the blanks ;)).

Well, lets just say you guys are wrong 🙂 Something which gets once again backed up by products such as these. AND (this is my ‘nitpick topic’:) this is /truly/ free, not just in writing. You click the link, you download the product. No hidden nonsense as “please gimme your e-mail address”.

Good stuff. Be sure to check out the KX6-V16 as well; awesome piece of work.

  4. I written this license in 2005 when I started my web site.
“Rights using of Xavier Kalensky’s musical creations” is about my old *.wma files, not about my freewares, so now I done videos on youtube.

    Xavier
