  1. Can imagine this would be awesome for master effects routed from a dj mixer via a line in on using an external sound card via camera connection kit. What would people recommend for a small stereo line in sound card for iPad? Props to the developers, this sort of app could seriously dent kaoss pad sales if done well.

      1. LiveFX looks cool to me, but by the time you add the powered USB hub and the audio interface, wouldn’t a real Kaoss pad be a better solution for DJing?

        1. I have an old NI Audio8 DJ laying about here so will give the powered USB hub a go, I think it’s class 2 complaint? – Have had issues using it with Lion, but thats another story.

iMan, you could be right but if people have access to the devices already it becomes a no brainer. The processing power of the iPad could breath a whole new life into live effects – multiple parameter settings, automation, metering, higher quality effects, more sampling time, potential of a more intuitive interface… the list goes on. Looking forward to having a play with it when it drops.

          Peace

  2. This is cool however, why is this not used as an EFFECT slot in audiobus?? This is an extreme oversight IMHO. This app, as well as ikaossilator would be so creative used that way. I hope they just didn’t show that aspect, but that it is an option. Seems as though developing for audiobus for that use is more difficult.

  3. Is there only 1 effects slot? I can’t for audiobus to implement effect chains. The real question- Is the iPad powerful enough.

      1. Some apps, such as GlitchBreaks, are slated for a FX slot upgrade soon. I’m sure more will follow. I wonder if there was some sort of technical hiccup that will soon be ironed out which will open the floodgates on FX slot apps.
        Just a thought.

        1. No techncal hiccup, just limited time before the iTunes holiday break. Testing and development takes time – it’s what you’re paying for, in the end.

  4. Doesn’t it seem like Korg should be upset about this? It has an almost identical layout to the KP Quad and even copies the moving lights of iKaossilator. Looks cool nonetheless.
