Apogee Intros Duet USB Audio Interface

Apogee_DuetWith a four-input USB audio interface called Quartet, and a newly-updated one-input interface called ONE, it should come as no surprise to readers that Apogee Electronics’ new two-input (four-output) USB audio interface is christened Duet.

The Duet audio interface for for iPad and Mac makes a direct digital connection to Apple’s iPad (iPhone, iPod touch) and Mac, and features Apogee’s Maestro control software, iOS device charging, and MIDI connectivity. The updated Duet debuted at The 2013 Winter NAMM Show.

When used with iPad or an iOS device, Duet works with any Core Audio compliant app like GarageBand, Auria and MultiTrack. For recording on a Mac, Duet works with Logic, Pro Tools, GarageBand, Ableton Live and any Mac Core Audio compliant application.

  1. As a Mac/PC user, I’m somewhat bummed that apogee doesn’t really like windows. I don’t really either, but sometimes we have to use what’s available and it’d be nice if apogee kept that in mind.

    1. Look into the RME baby face at a similar price point. They simply updated their firmware to make it iOS compatible for their users instead of making them repurchase a whole new duet.

  2. how i am reading this is that its a new series compatible with the ipad. all info i found pointed that the duet was not ios compliant.
