SoundTech App Like A Browser For Electronic Music News

soundtech-synthtopiaReader Costin Calugaru, aka Kanstraktar, let us know about SoundTech – a free iPhone app that’s like a web browser for electronic music news.

“I’m kind of an addict of music technology,” explains Calugaru. So he created the app as a way of quickly browsing some of his favorite sites.

“I’m considering some future updates that would include more navigation options and, as soon as I figure out how to do it, make it available offline.”

All we have to say is that it looks like there’s room in the bottom navigation for ‘CDM’!

It’s a free download from the App Store. If you’re an iOS user, check it out and let Calugaru know what you think!

  1. It would be great if you added the ability to add you’re own sites, maybe from a provided list? Djtechtools, digitaldjtips and music radar are always pretty interesting as well. Love the app though, and the idea. Should save me a lot of time, thanks!

  2. Hey, thanks. I was also thinking of addimg some more websites to it and probably will do. Some of them don’t have ‘clean’ RSS feeds and may not work, but anyway, for those reading this, if you could write me or just leave a reply saying what websites would you like to be featured, I’d really appreciate it?

  3. Create Digital Music is missing 😉

    Thanks for this App 🙂

I would like to define an interval for updates notification. This would be great.

    Posted from SoundTech 😉

    1. If by this updates interval you refer to the possibility of refreshing the headlines, you can do this by pulling down on the list until you see the refresh wheel spinning. You will be notified by this in a message, but I’m letting you know in advance 🙂 There’s a bug though with this, in that if you do a refresh it adds the latest headlines at the end of the list. It’s fixed now and a new version will be submitted to the AppStore today, which will also include Create Digital Music feeds. Due to the lack of space for longer titles like this one, all tabs will be reduced to SYN, CDM etc.

More websites to be featured soon. BTW, I think the link to the app is broken. You can find it here:
      https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/soundtech/id755798887

      Cheers!

    1. Are you sure? I’m just checking this and it seems to remember all the details for commenting, even after shutting it down and restarting it… What do you mean by the interval for updates notification?

      1. Notifications on the lock screen 😉 Instead of going to Synthtopia a million times a day to check for updates.
I’m going to check the credentials again.

  4. I know a lot of music tech heads tend to favour Apple, but some of us have Android phones and would like some of this app action, too!
