  1. Very interesting. Stutter Edit is a great plugin designed by the same guy. I also love izotope’s policy of providing full featured 10 day demos and academic pricing.

  2. Interesting how many options there are, yet the sound is very stylized and limited. I bet you could generate 20 songs from this software and they would all be indistinguishable from one another by the average listener.

    1. In fairness, the same could be said for pretty much any fairly specific sounding gear/software. It’s about how and where you use it.

  3. I really don’t like it when they go with the whole “THIS WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING FOREVER”-pitch, which it rarely does, but I’m rather interested in the instrument itself., which is the important part when it all comes down to it.

    1. Wait, is this thing a plugin? Or a mobile app? I have no idea what this thing actually is other than that it costs $250. If I feel the need to make some “microedits” i’ll just go nuts with the razor tool in whatever DAW and call it a day.

  4. looks like an interesting piece of software, it’s unfortunate that it’s immediately obvious application is so damn genre based to the above mentioned 2003…. but i bet if you pull your sleeves up, you DON’T have to make glitch/dubstep with it…. I would like to see what it can do “out of context”…

  5. The video pitch is misleading. I had a play with the demo, and basically it’s just a well organized drum machine – loads samples, and has oscs for drum synth hits. Would be a great plug for designing kicks and snares especially.

  6. $249.00. ! Are you fucking serious? With the amazing quality and amount of ios apps being sold for next to nothing, these insanely expensive programs are looking pretty underwhelming. I own and use stutter edit quite a bit and I love it but I got it for the “intro” price of $100. I would have never payed what it’s going for now and I will never pay this much for beattweaker. I’m sure it’s awesome but I’m not buying it.

    Doesn’t BT have enough money?

  7. …heard some kind of afro-mexican music yesterday on a dvd at the flea market…can’t remember the artist’s name …but they had some kind of beat going on…two drummers…live…and hands down…even with the poor recording and mixing on the dvd…it sounded better than BeatTweaker…tried the demo…think I’ll go an old Commodore 64….and save $$$$$, for a prostitute :).
