  1. if it had no integrated sound engine of its own but flexible meeting routing instead via an attached hardware midi interface (iRig, Line6 etc.), I’d buy it instantly

  2. Wow, lots of negativity here!

It looks like a fun app! I remember when Rebirth was released and this kinda reminds me of that workflow. Folks could have a lot of fun with various Osc waveforms, sync & detune, FM, Ring Mod, Env settings, filter & Fx. For $5?!!! Great! I think we are kinda spoiled these days…

  3. Its fun, easy to use and makes great use of the touchscreen. Clearly a 1st release as it needs key things like Audiobus, IAA, and background audio. But at the end of the day fun is fun!

    1. Why don’t u make your own apps then if you need so many things added? You don’t have to buy it or use it if it doesn’t suit your own requirements!

      1. I already have bought it and that’s why I said it was fun to play. Its absurd for to think that you have to be a developer in order to comment on features or lack thereof. I am an experienced iPad musician and feel that my comments are fair and accurate. The features I think are missing are pretty basic requirements for new music apps because the standards have changed with advances in the technology.

  4. Not without it’s issues, scene switches can create a rather undesirable hiccough for example, but there is a depth to this that may not be obvious at first look!

There are also some rather excellent UI implementations that really do work … for the price of a coffee or whatever, it’s worth a look 🙂

  5. It’s heaps of fun and definitely worth the money. You can get some great gurgling bass lines in an instant and alter them in the most interesting ways. I think you should embrace any limitations an app has. Enjoy it’s strengths.

  6. Had to buy it. It sounds great and is really fun to use. Who needs all the sync and stuff if it all sounds nicer out of sync… makes it more organic – the same reason why I otherwise love analog synths.

  7. Like all these synth apps, it is fun but certainly doesn’t replace the mc-909 in my living room…however, I will play with it while travelling, and along with Caustic3 I will be entertained iI am sure 🙂

  8. Been playing with this for a few days now and have to say it’s a lot of fun and good value. Really impressive for a 1.0 release.
Well laid out, easy to navigate and visually inviting interface. Above all the pros and cons, like others have said, it’s fun, engaging and good value.
I understand that some users are asking for deeper functionality but I’m not hugely bothered about that; the recording and editing of audio is something I enjoy, so for me, it’s no biggie.
Doug has, yet again, done a good job of introducing the basic concepts, but I would say it’s not until you play with it yoursel that you can see just how far you can go with it.
As iOS music makers, we are living in exciting times and are very lucky to have so many innovative developers making all these fantastic apps that we can buy for such a small price.
