Dave Smith Instruments Pro 2 Control Voltage Applications

In this video, Chris Stack of experimentalsynth explores using the new Dave Smith Instruments Pro 2 synthesizer in a variety of control voltage applications.

The Pro 2 synthesizer offers four rear-panel control voltage inputs and outputs, which allows for connectivity with a variety of modular and vintage gear.

“With USB/MIDI and assignable CV Ins and Outs that can be sent to or from just about anything in its architecture,” notes Stack, “It’s like a great synth that fits into any electronic music workflow.”

The Pro 2 is available now, priced at about US $1,999. See the DSI site for details.

  1. Great demo! This highlights why the Pro 2 may not make sense to people that just want a monosynth, but is pretty killer for people that want to dig deeper into synthesis, connect to modulars, etc.
