Monoplugs has announced that B-Step 2, an update to its MIDI sequencer for iPad, Linux, Mac & Windows, will be available Oct 24.

Here’s a sneak preview:

B-Step 2 is a step sequencer tailored to live use and improvisation. It can be controlled a variety of ways – using a mouse, a MIDI controller, touchscreen control or using one or two Novation Launchpads.

  1. Been waiting for this one for a while, this could be the first step-sequencer to actually do it right and not have a tiny minuscule interface (Thesys is AWESOME but very hard to use).

    It reminds me a lot of the midi part of Elektron’s Octatrack although I am certain there are differences the feature set is strikingly similar!
