Kindra_Scharich_as_DidoSoundiron has released Voice of Rapture: The Alto, a new sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt, based on the voice of Kindra Scharich, right.

Voice of Rapture: The Alto is a solo operatic mezzo-soprano vocal library that captures the voice of Scharich, with a wide variety of playable chromatic articulations and melodic elements.

The Alto includes a wide variety of playable chromatic articulations, true legato and emotionally charged melodic elements (Vowel, Latin, French, Hum and Whistle) with tempo-synch, key transposing and phrase building.

Here’s a video intro:

Here are the official audio demos:

The 6.3 GB library has 38 instrument presets and over 8,300 samples.

Voice of Rapture: The Alto is available at the introductory price of only $89 through April 13th, $119 thereafter.

  1. Sounds like cheating. Of course, many well known acts aren’t talented enough to pull off a live show without using pre-recorded backing tracks. So, why not cheat like many others.

    1. What’s cheating about using chromatic vocal samples to record music at home? I don’t know any opera singers, nor would I have the time (and them the patience) to make them sing what I like for hours/days/months. This is very cool, I’m thinking Mellotron choir of the future.
