Monoplugs, maker of the BStep Seqencer, has just released its newest product, Metronom, a “very powerful” metronome app and MIDI master clock.
Metronom is, as you might have guessed, a metronome with all the essential features of a metronome and support for non-standard time signatures, bundled with what developer Thomas Arndt touts as “a bunch of bonus features like an advanced speed and rhythm trainer. ”
But of particular interest to electronic musicians, Metronom has integrated a MIDI master clock, which can sync “all your grooveboxes, DAWs and drum machines.” The user can sync a sequencer or a DAW like Logic, Live or Cubase with Metronom to play a percussion pattern or a songs with speed changes in the background.
Pricing and Availability.
Monoplugs Metronom is available now from the App Store for iPhones and iPads, at an introductory price of 0.99€/$. Monoplugs expects to release the app soon for Mac, Windows, Linux and Android as well. More information is available at the Monoplugs website.
