  1. I been foloowing you on facbook since i have facebook page…. And before via this website.
Great job…. Great news…. Great concept.. Keep following

  2. I really don’t get it. Moroder is a disco artist. Hits like Donna Summers and others have a real classic analog sound. The sound of novation reminds me absolutly not on that kind of sound. I really don’t want to judge. I mean those digital clean sounds have a very own aesthetic and style – for example if we think on the digital sounds in the early techno scene or drum n bass or many more. I just think its a completly different style of sound and I don’t get it. If you want a Moroder Sound you’ll have to buy a moog, a roland or a minibrute maybe. It’s just the way it goes. If you ask me: Novation doesn’t know his own strengh in this one. Otherwise they wouldn’t have to lie to their self and do a limited product like this. I don’t want to troll, but this marketing is just not the right thing for that synthesizer.

  3. In response to the above comment. Why do people put band stickers on skate boards when a skate board isn’t an instrument, why do people buy art prints when the original was obviously a painting? The reason is because it’s cool and fun. It’s easy to get excited about this, synthesizers are just fun you know! I think novation knows what it is doing. They only made 500 because there are people out there who would say “that’s pointless”. So it’s really more about fun and style. I always thought the mininova looked interesting and I like digital synths.

  4. If Giorgio programmed all the patches himself it would begin to make sense. Why him? Why not jean michele jarre or vangelis or Eno? Let novation users submit programs and put that out. What’s Giorgio done to keep novation going?

    1. The synth is pre-loaded with Moroder-approved synth patches from his greatest productions.
He uses their equipment on stage, and has fans at Novation.

What have Jarre, Vangelis or Eno done for Novation?

  5. I’ve been coveting the mininova for awhile now, I’ll gladly accept the synth as a reward for my loyalty to this site- even if it was an Air Supply themed model.

  6. cool… cool… more money to novation to put out another multitimbral, please! A drum/synth module that integrates seamlessly with LP pro for playing/sequencing… all the parts are there guys, come on!

  7. Canada does not ban this type of giveaway. Only the province of quebec has strict laws governing free giveaways, including the requirement that anybody offering to give something free in the province first pay the government 10% of the value of the prize, whether or not somebody there wins it. That is why most contests indicate “Open to residents of Canada, not including Quebec”

  8. Brent – our understanding is that Canada basically bans sweepstakes, where everybody has the same chance of winning.

This is why you see math questions on Canadian giveaways, as a workaround to make contests arguably skill-based.
