Novation has released an update to Blocs Wave, adding ‘Slice Mode’, a new option that lets you chop up sounds, play slices in real-time and record your slice performance.
Here’s what’s new in Blocs Wave 4:

- Play slices in real-time, and record up to four bars of your performance
- Quantise and velocity control for an expressive feel

- Slip now operates in both directions
Blocs Wave is available as a Universal iOS app in the App Store for US $4.99.

I say this almost certainly is pointing towards a Circuit Sampler in the works. Novation is carefully putting all the pieces in place.
problem under ios8: the slice mode isn’t working as it should be.
But it is ok on ios 9.
Maybe this app will eventually be as good as Samplr was.
