U-He Intros Repro-1, A Virtual Sequential Pro-One

u-he-repro-1U-He has released Repro-1 – a new virtual analog monosynth for Linux, Mac & Windows, based on the classic Sequential Circuits Pro-One.

U-He used component-level modelling technology to create the most authentic model possible.

They say that ‘all the subtle characteristics and quirks found in the original are present in Repro-1.’

Features:

  • Component-level modelling of a classic monophonic synth
  • 2 oscillators: saw/pulse and saw/triangle/pulse, including combinations and pulse width modulation.
  • White noise generator
  • Mixer for the audio generators with feedback path for extra bass boost
  • Filter: 4-pole lowpass, capable of self-oscillation. Cutoff, Resonance, dedicated envelope and key tracking controls
  • Amplifier: ADSR envelope with curve trimmer
  • Modulation true to the original, plus an extra 2-slot matrix
  • LFO: saw/triangle/pulse, including combinations
  • Extra modulation sources: AR/ASR envelope adopted from the wavefolder effect, plus Trigger and Gate
  • Arpeggiator: up or up/down, latch mode
  • Sequencer: Two-patterns, step recording: Editable pitch/velocity, note/tie/pause status per step, max. 32-notes each pattern (or 64 notes when chained). Copy/paste and rotate functions, save/load presets

      1. Not bad for the 2 I tried so far. Obviously different architectures, but quite amazing what you can do with a bit of thought.

  1. Just bought Repro. FANTASTIC!! I own a lot of hard and softsynths but this one just became my number 1. Low end is excellent, sound bites through your mix. But it can also sound sweet and warm. Great filter, very close to the hardware. The effects are simple but outstanding and original. Normal CPU load. Sequencer is a nice bonus. Keep up the good work U-he!

    1. Also bought it and controlling it with a korg minilogue. Sometimes I forget, that I am playing a virtual synth. Great job u-he! Cheers!

  2. they need to learn the difference between a comma and a period.
37.5 lines of code and 34.4pixels are very different than 37,500 lines of code and 34,446,480 pixels
