  1. Reveal Sound announces a Spire rack extension the same week that Propellerhead announces VST support for Reason. That’s kind of funny. Great introductory price on the rack extension though!

      1. I’m not so sure. While I think that RE’s are better than VST in many ways, you actually have to pay for them, and that’s not what little “producers” want to do these days. So get ready, the shitleech KVR crowd is going to inundate the place, and RE’s just might go the way Refills did- Barely there at all.

    1. As a developer that’s gotta piss you off big time after you’ve spent all that time and effort porting something over..

      1. They were already notified some time ago about the upcoming VST support, but chose to pursue the RE version anyway. As a Reason user this is definitely my preferred way to go because of how elegantly it integrates into the rack. I much prefer the plugin management/authorization system as well.

  2. Looks like they tried to rush it through before 9.5 hits the streets. It was pulled earlier for too many complaints about bugs.

  3. In my opinion RE extensions should cost a lot less now..I also use another Daw (as many others I guess)and it makes perfect sense to buy vsti s..
Wondering. ..Guys running the REshop know exactly how many sales there are…If…RE were much cheaper A LOT MORE USERS WOULD JUST BUY THEM TO HAVE N USE..and I’m wondering if that would even bring more cash to shop and the producers. .so…now it’s the time to produce Top Re or exclusively Re with extra futures coming to Reason 10 etc…

Got already 9Upgrade But waiting for 10 to come n then activate. ..reason is (learning Cubase9 n Absolute 3…komplete 11 too lol

    CHEERS

  4. They have 2 new synths (Spire n Resonans) in the shop that are quite nice. Don’t know about that original price on Spire though lol.

I do wonder how developers feel about VSTs coming to Reason. Did they know ahead of time. Makes more sense just to do VSTs now unless its the neat-o cv/note tools. There are enough quality free VSTs to do plenty of good work. In Reason being able to combinate with VSTs is going to be very inviting to the sound designers out there. I can’t see Reason appealing to the kidz with its ‘hasn’t changed in 10 years’ base offering for $399. They better add some more candy.

Why is Respire missing in the store as of 5/7 ?

    1. “Why is Respire missing in the store as of 5/7 ?”

There were multiple significant bug reports on it so they elected to pull it for now.

  5. I’m not a pro, I just learn by doing. I sure misunderstand, misuse or completely don’t understand things but this synth (my opinion) is just a f**** money grab. “Was produced by musicians and programmers”?
I highly doubt that unless those “musicians” only used presets and never put a finger on a knob, and programmers?? IDK!
First of all, the sound quality which they praise so highly is good but definitely not “superb” and not better than Thor. A bit less, since playing two notes at ones is not as clear as in Thor (That’s how it sounded to me).
Than this damn FX, first time I seriously thought it had only an on and off button for delay reverb and so on, since I didn’t realize that there is a dropdown list down there.
A bit of my fault because I didn’t really focuse on the pictures at the prop. shop.
Well actually…. I first was confused that my sound after resetting still had delay in it until I noticed after 10 minutes that it had those damn buttons on the back! Why on the back???? Next thing, the horrible interface. Why letting me scroll down through those options instead of giving me a simple and easy dropdown list as they have done it with the FX (without showing us that there is an actual dropdown list)?
Then nothing else but audio output and gate cv input. Even most propellerhead created synth have more options. I sure love the mixing between ctrla and ctrlb and it does a good job at it, not like other synth (4mer) which just shape any waveform to a freaking square if you dial down the “bit crush” knob (Or I’m just stupid).
But the biggest turn off is the price, they probably didn’t know what to do so they just took the same price you would have to pay for Serum which is an incredible synth, one of the best. I mean seriously? Then the stupid commercial on their website. Oh this musician “uses” it and this musician, bla bla bla. I’m used to that from DAWS but synth?
Oh and the point that you don’t get to know anything about their “company”! No address, nothing! REALLY STRANGE!
Sorry for the rant but this synth is probably the most expensive one on Propellerhead!
