    1. If it’s like the erebus probably not. The erebus drifts all the time. The VCO expo’s use 2N3906’s just hanging off the board, not a matched pair, no thermal contact etc.. it drifts all over the place and I constantly have to adjust the tuning.

  1. Is that a SEM style sweepable filter-type knob? Looks like it but seems the kind of thing they’d be sure to call out if it was so I’m not so sure.

Either way, can’t wait to hear it. Far as I’m concerned, Dreadbox is a new Moog. Their boxes don’t do everything but every sound they make sounds like a musical instrument I want to make out with.

  2. What function do the knobs under the “Oscillator” section serve? If the volume of each oscillator is under the “mixer” section? I guess I’m just curious why oscillator 1 doesn’t have a knob?

    1. Those knobs are for tuning the oscillators. Osc 1 has an octave switch. This is fairly common. The minimoog and a lot of other synths have a similar set up.

That is (exactly) value for money! : D

Kidding aside though, dreadbox’ other synths sound fantastic! Can’t wait for a full-fledged review of this one!
