Multitrack recording to Ableton Live, with a little warmth from an Akai multitrack.

Instruments: Arp Odyssey Rev. 2, Korg Volca FM, Korg MS-20 mini, Roland Juno 106s, Dave Smith Instruments Prophet ’08, Elektronika EM-25

Effects: Soundtoys Little Plate, Soundtoys Primal Tap, Arturia MiniFilter V and some EQ from Ableton

Recording devices: Akai X201D, Focusrite Saffire Pro 40

  1. Synthezaur, you rocked it. That’s a nice, semi-restrained song that would support some video well. I like hearing music from middle-range rigs of one or two serious polysynths and several well-considered monosynths or modules. To my ear, it makes the player focus in a way that pays off. Its a clever slot between pricey slab synth stacks and modular overkill that can end up sounding like T-Dream on cough syrup.
