La Voix du Luthier Onde Speaker For Electronic Instruments

At Superbooth 2018, La Voix du Luthier introduced a new line of resonating speakers for electronic instruments.

Here’s a hands-on demo of the ‘Onde‘, with developer Christophe Duquesne. The Onde was developed with the Haken Continuum in mind, but also supports standard connectivity, including Bluetooth, so it could be used with other gear.

La Voix du Luthier plans a Kickstarter launch in Fall 2018.

  1. It’s hard to hear just how good that sounds in the noisy Superbooth space. Suffice it to say, that when it was demonstrated in the large auditorium it sounded amazingly good.

  2. Good to see something new in speaker design! And great that it’s battery powered. Maybe there will be more synthesist street performers after this.
However this must be hard product to sell via Indiegogo, it’s not easy to demonstrate sound quality in a youtube video. Maybe they can put it beside a few regualar studio monitors (genelec, adam audio, yamaha etsc) and send different sound sources throug them to demonstrate the differences?

  3. In another video, they were talking about different shelves for different instruments/controllers… I took it as it will not be a Continuum only accessory.
I would love to have something like this… The Continuum is way out of budget for me, though….

    1. $1200 for a ContinuuMini and a resonating speaker and you’ve got a setup that offers better synthesis capabilities and more expressive control capabilities than just about anything available.

Compare EaganMatrix to just about any synth, and it will be the winner.
