  1. I have a big sky and I really do rate them as the best reverb I have heard.Been into music tech 30 years.Well worth buying or saving up for.

  2. The Korg Monologue is one of those synths everyone underestimates now but in a few decades from now will be a sought after synth……and it is so common it won’t skyrocket in price 40 years from now. Hopefully. It’s missing basic features, but they can be done in different weird ways which makes you rethink the whole process of creating your sound.

Oh and on the BigSky…..I only wanted it for the shimmer….mostly. If you want the best synthy shimmer reverb effect on a budget ide say go for the Boss RV-6.

  3. The Strymon BigSky is amazing, including the vowel type sounds. I find it feels like having an extra “pad synth” connected via MIDI. Amazing for adding some background atmosphere to tracks, especially for ambient.

  4. I’m happy I sold my Big Sky and bought a Ventris. The former was more suited to guitars. The latter is more mindblowing on synths!

  5. Not only a high end great sounding reverb but a reverb “co-processor” as well. The only software plugin that I have that comes remotely close to this, pulls down my i7 quad CPU. So gamers have their (graphics) co-processor and I have mine…and I can move it on to a pedal board to use live as the need arises. Won’t have to upgrade my DAW computer now for the forseeable future…
