Galileo Organ 2 Now Available

Yonac Software has introduced Galileo Organ 2, a new version of their tonewheel and transistor organ modeling iOS app.

The app offers 17 different organ types, three individually configurable manuals, scanner vibrato/chorus emulation, newly designed rotary cabinet & tube amp sims, and new stereo professional FX.

Galileo Organ 2 also offers extensive MIDI support, full connectivity via AUv3, IAA and Audiobus, over 300 presets in many different genres, as well as the ability to import original Galileo Organ presets.

It’s available now for US $6.99.

  1. Sat in with my friend’s band the other night and used the original version and it sounded great, but will probably do the upgrade.

  2. To anybody who’s been using Galileo’s first iteration: options apart, is it any better than Garageband’s B3 organ? I don’t mind buying it given the price (for one, even the relatively pricey Korg iM1 with its expansion cards was well worth it), but I don’t want to end up with a similar or identical Hammond emulation.

    1. Not sure about a 1:1 comparison with GB’s B3 because that probably depends on your style of play and the types of B3 sounds you generally reach for. That said, this app has about a jillion times more tonal possibilities.

      1. Thank you, I’m probably gonna try it. I’m especially intrigued by the virtual amps: I wouldn’t need a guitar amp simulator anymore when playing Deep Purple covers.

  3. The price has gone up to $15 now. Bummed I missed the discount, as I have the first one and would like to upgrade to the second version at a more reasonable price. Well you know what they say, “you snooze, you lose “ I will buy it anyway, as I am an avid Hammond B3 fan and player.
