Waldorf Streichfett String Synth Hands-On Demo

In this video, synth guru Nick Kwas takes a look at the Waldorf Streichfett string synth.

The Streichfett (German for ‘spreadable fat’) is a modern string synthesizer that’s designed to combine the best qualities of various vintage synths of the 70s and early 80s. Its sound engine features a fully polyphonic string section and an eight-voice solo section.

If you’ve used the Streichfett, share your thoughts on it in the comments! See the Waldorf site for more info.

  1. For some reason I’m hearing a lot of high-pitched ringing resonance tones, which would really bother me if I was playing live with this thing. Is this something common to the device or just a choice of the reviewer?

  2. Just to point out, this is a promotional video from Waldorf. Nothing wrong with that, but it wasn’t clear to me until the end of the clip.

      1. Not when I watch it on my tablet. Guess it depends on the aspect ratio. Because on my computer, you’re right, the logo is there.
