  1. If Kraftwerk is inducted, would the classic lineup of Ralf Hutter, Florian Schneider, Wolfgang Flur, and Karl Bartos attend the induction ceremony?

  2. Todd Rundgren should have been voted in years ago. He’s an amazing composer and musician, but he’s also produced the ass off of many artist’s albums, such as New York Dolls, Grand Funk Railroad, Meatloaf and the Tubes. Just listening to something like “A Cappella” is a capsule lesson in how to play the studio.

    1. I know the rock & roll hall of fame is pretty much a traveshamockery but if was taking is seriously Kraftwerk would be an automatic… and like them or not Def Leopard would have been in there years ago.

  3. It’s about time. Kraftwerk are the most influential band since The Beatles. And DEVO is long overdue. When neither of them get in but Janet Jackson does it will be time for the pitchforks and torches.

    1. The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame long ago stopped being just for Rock n Roll music. It was at that point that Kraftwerk really should be in it.

  4. What’s Kraftwerk doing there?
If they haven’t been given a (music-related) prize yet, the prize is obviously useless, so why embarrass yourself by trying to give it NOW?

Who runs these little medal gimmicks anyway?
Did they start it like 2 years ago if they haven’t made it through the 70’s yet?
Maybe they should stick with Elvis and the like.

(LLCJ probably the only debut album I got same year as it came out. That is also in no obvious way rock-n-roll at all. Or wait, did Arvo Pärt get it yet? Maybe rock-n-roll just means “music” in some corporate whitepaper)
