Percussa mSSP Eurorack Module To Get Editor For Mac & Windows

Percussa founder Bert Schiettecatte let us know that they’ve updated their plans for the mSSP multi-function Eurorack module, adding an Editor for Mac & Windows.

The Percussa micro Super Signal Processor (mSSP) is a powerful Eurorack Module, based on a quad-core Cortex A17 at 1.8GHz. It features high-end AKM audio converters, offering 8 in / 4 out with up to 192kHz sample rate and 32-bit resolution.

The mSSP can be used in many ways – as a synth engine, wavetable oscillators, granular synth, sampler, effects processor and more. It will come with a collection of 50 modular synthesis patches, covering a wide range of synthesis and audio processing techniques.

The Editor software will open the mSSP up so that you can customize the module to meet your needs. It lets you use a graphic environment to create patches, using a collection of 25+ modules. Once you’ve created a custom patch, you can add it to the module’s patch library.

Pricing and Availability

Production of the mSSP is being funded via a Kickstarter project, and the module is available to project backers for US $559. Details on the updates are available via the project site.

  1. It looks amazing but uptake seems slow: (£18K in 90K needed 17days to go). I can only speak for myself as a Eurorack user, I go to Euro to get away from ‘screens’ and ‘computers’ and just turn knobs, this is a computer with a very small screen and a lot of menu diving…..If I wanted this type of complexity I would do it on my computer with a 34 inch screen (I can CV out to my modular via expert sleepers for that matter)

That’s just me, if you are a DAWless jamming or Live guy this may be just the ticket.

    1. He has indicated it WON’T be built unless the target is met. It sure seems like a long-shot that the target will be met. It’s a pretty niche market and a lot of those who would be interested may have already bought the Percussa SSP. If I had more cash and more HP right now I might jump in but I’m pretty happy with the rack I have right now.
