Percussa mSSP Multi-timbral / Multi-Voice FM & Sampling Demo

Percussa shared another sneak preview of its upcoming micro Super Signal Processor (mSSP) multi-function Eurorack module.

The Percussa mSSP is a powerful Eurorack DSP module, based on one of the fastest ARM processors available, the quad core Cortex A17 at 1.8GHz, and features high-end AKM audio converters, offering 8 in / 4 out, with up to 192kHz sample rate and 32-bit resolution.

Here’s what they have to say about the technical details:

“Layered FM and sampling multi-timbral demo, in which we tweak ratio/detuning parameters of FM operators of the FM part of the patch. Each voice in the patch consists of 2 sine oscillators with amplitude envelopes, as well as one sample player, looping a vocal sample.

The voices go to an internal bus and reverb module. In the second part of the video we switch to a different FM patch without sample playback in the voices, where we tweak amplitude and modulation envelopes of the FM operators.

All sound synthesized on the mSSP and recorded on the big SSP.”

Pricing and Availability

Production of the Percussa mSSP is being funded via a Kickstarter project. The mSSP is available to project backers for US $549.

    1. The campaign is not over yet 🙂 if you want an mSSP, back the campaign. Your card won’t be charged if we don’t reach the goal. If we do reach the goal then you got yourself a great deal. A powerful module for $549 which will cost $799 to those who did not back the campaign and choose to wait.

      1. You should have stopped investing in ad and promotions when it was at 1/4 of the needed goal 10 days ago. If you don’t get 70% the first 15 days on kickstarter usually your product will not reach its funding.
Also most people heard about it during the first 10 days soo..

        1. Thanks for sharing your opinion. We don’t make predictions, we just work hard, we’ll see what happens and when it gets funded we’ll work even harder to deliver the mSSP, just like we did for the SSP, which was succesfuly funded and delivered on time.
