  1. That jazzy play style of him really suits the demo. 2.5 was already insane, and with 2.6 Omnisphere is even more a steal for the price.

  2. Now, more than ever, Omnisphere has become a must-have for any serious musician. It is seemingly unlimited. The interface with existing hardware takes away the argument that software needs to be knobby. Hardware can be very limiting compared to software. With this update, that takes away that limitation.

  3. Don’t get me wrong, I love Omnisphere, but I’m not really wild about the hardware integration. What is the practical purpose of it?

    1. …simple for me. I have the JD-800 right next to me. If they add hardware integration I can use it to control omnisphere instead of using a mouse or one of the many cheap plastic midi controllers where I forget the mappings anyways. The JD-800 interface (similar to D50) is very close to omnisphere,

    2. They’re turning all your hardware synths into dedicated control keyboards that just are plug and play. That increases the value you get from your existing hardware, and makes Omnishpere a lot more fun to use, too.

And they’re also adding features to Omnisphere as they do this, to match the hardware synths capabilities. This is making Omnisphere more and more powerful as they go. Persing talks about this a bit in his demo.
