Akai Force vs Ableton Push 2

The latest loopop video takes a look at the new Akai Pro Force standalone clip launcher, sampler & groove box and how it compares to the Ableton Push 2.

Introduced ahead of the 2019 NAMM Show, the Akai Force is a music production/DJ performance instrument that offers clip launching, step sequencing, sampling, synths and a 7-inch multi-touch display.

Force is designed for users that want to a clip-centric workflow, but work free from being connected to a computer. Akai says that โ€œForce is the first standalone music production device that truly captures the modern clip-based workflow.โ€

Pricing and Availability

The Akai Pro Force is expected to be available in February 2019, priced at US $1,499. See the Akai site for more information.

        …or a screen, or a full 61 keys, or iPad app, or isn’t as good as “insert random device that has nothing to do with anything” or built in wifi, or can make u coffee, or…

    1. Why would something like this need song mode? From what I’ve seen, you have your different sequences on the grid and you can choose between them and mute instruments. The next part of the song is literally the push of a button away.

    their top priority here is to make people forget about the MPC live / X’s almost 1 year delayed release.
    The force as to be available as soon as possible and they talked about a first firmware update in march , not so bad taugh
