The Carpenters’ ‘Close To You’ On Modular Synthesizer

Sunday Synth Jam: Glownely Glow-Lonely shared this unusual modular synthesizer cover of the easy listening classic Close To You, by The Carpenters.

Here’s what they have to say about the technical details:

“The voices are Plaits, Rings, Elements, and STO. Hermod is the main sequencer, but everything is being clocked by Marbles to create a push pull and jitter to the sequence. “

  1. Just in time for flu season: a song that sounds like a huge dose of Nyquil. Hilarious and nicely rendered. I’d like to hear just a bit more like this from modular players. It makes the approach feel more appealing to us holdouts. Way to patch!
